where I would be fishing in the cold lake?
fishing season opened a few weeks ago in our local lake. The lake is mainly trout, the smallmouth bass and large perch fishing. It is very cold here in northwest Oregon. Recently, the lowest in 30 at night and mid-40 to mid-50s during the day. Water temperature is probably in the mid 40 to 50 lower. I am interested where trout are more likely to be? near the surface so far? in narrow and deep? pieces and deep? Exactly where hung in the cold? Thank you for your help.
I truly believe that if the lake is fair to thaw after the winter trout will be near the coast and in bays so that are near deep water. why trout are so close, because it is the time in tents and fish begin to spawn and the trout are eating. Also the fish will be looking for sites and nesting. if the lake from streams or rivers that enter it, try here because the fish is a trout stream, and are more likely to comply reproduce, then into a lake. The flows that cause hot running water and no opportunity as far as the frozen lakes.
