Ok I’ve heard ppl say that in the usa you can fly alone at 16 but im 15 so can you give me a bit more info?
I want to fly alone and i know how old you can to be and i want to fly without somebody guiding me because the dont like the dumb $99 fees.
In the US, there are no airlines that require a 15-year-old to purchase the unaccompanied minor service in order to fly alone. All airlines in this country will allow the service to be purchased for someone of that age, but it is a completely optional service at that age.
(I’ve provided the links for the bulk of the major airlines in the US — you can see that, while the policies vary from airline to airline, the service becomes optional on all of the airlines by the age of 15, with some making it optional as early as the age of 12.)
Because these rules, as has been pointed out, vary depending on the airline, you may wish to check with specific airlines if you’re not flying within the US, as they may have a different policy.
