Iv been fishing for some time in the Ohio State Park and use small fish Westbranch mean?

I have to do something worng thing though, because they never seem to catch a bass trout crappie small and medium and small size largest being about 11 inches, Iv tried to go at night in our catfish bait to use these small beads down my dry line, and also tried to use shad in the same way you would think id get lucky and find something to bite, maybe there is a specific path of the line must be bait? fishing in the wrong place or something? would be like any other can help me, I like fishing and is only a bit disappointing to catch crappie is fun but I want somethign that is defended as a good-sized bass.
