Fly Chironomid

Fly Chironomid

Stillwater Fly Fishing gear

Stillwater fly fishing can be very rewarding and enjoyable. Some fishermen believe is necessary to have specialized equipment for Fly fishing in lakes and lakes. While the specialized equipment may be useful, is not always necessary to have long stems or sinking lines. Fishing from shore is often a rape in the diet, so that even jet skis are not always necessary.

When fishing ponds and lakes, often use a weight of 5. rod waterline. The flies will depend on the local insect activity, but include everything from dry flies when the fish are taken, nymphs, streamers, wet flies and midges.

Sometimes I want to use other equipment such as deepening of the lines. When no action near the surface, I take along a roll of tape rolls of different types of lines. This means you can change quickly in my online search of fish at different depths. My preference is to use sixth sense fly lines, and I use the "slow glass" sinking below the surface, a line sinking at a rate of 3 "second line sinks at a rate of 5" per second, and finally, flowing at 7 "per second.

When the march of the largest fish in the lakes, also prefer a heavy bar of at least 10 1 / 2 feet long. These bars are also useful when casting in windy conditions.

When the fish do not bite in casting distance from shore or a bank, have some types of boats, of course, an advantage. If you're on a budget but want to get away from the coast, consider an inflatable float tube. They are easy to transport Stillwater and can fly very nice!
