Today, the rate of brain cholesterol in good health means a better future

  2. Nuts – these have been significantly reduced cholesterol levels and requires only a handful a day. Other fruits nuts, including almonds, peanuts and walnuts work well. Try adding to your cereal or salad.
  3. Fish and Omega 3 2 servings per week of salmon, sardines, herring or mackerel provide the protective effect of omega-3 fatty acids. If they do not like fish, you can use supplements or flax.
  4. Olive oil – 2 tablespoons per day may reduce LDL cholesterol without disturbing HDL cholesterol at all. Extra virgin is best. Brown the meat or vegetables or use it to make a vinaigrette.

This study of the dementia connection with high cholesterol – even after a very long time – really brings home the fact that the pursuit of health is an ongoing task. Our diet and our habits really decide our future. Use the diet and exercise to lower cholesterol whenever you can.
