The National Park Service non-native Yellowstone cutthroat trout stocked as late as 1969. Trout only in the park are native cutthroat trout and Colorado River cutthroat dollar.

These efforts to improve recreational opportunities in national parks have been revised in 1970. Since 1975, the dollar's cutthroat trout and native cutthroat trout, Colorado River are being restored to the water park and exotic or nonnative fish are removed.
