Saltwater minnow traps … what bait to use?
Summer flounder fishing I like to use live bait. Do you trap the standard screen and I know based bait to put in the pan like a cat food, dog / but it Another thing that you like best bait? What can or tuna, liver, or even bottle of cooking squid juice on the bread? Does anyone have a special recipe? My fishing spot east of Long Island NY, near Jones Beach.
For traps salt water, I go to blue crabs. Cut the crabs wedges (set) and let them do their magic. You can also go with a fish head, cut into four parts squid, shrimp, minced sardines in the can (with oil) or a bag of mixed seafood (found in many markets.) No real recipe, small fish eat almost anything you can spend the day. It's just easier pickin for the rest of us. Good luck ~ Catchin
