A day of fishing off Clearwater Beach Pier
I wrote about my visits to Clearwater Beach, Florida, and only refers this part of my journey. I think there's much more to say about this hobby useful. This article shows what you can have fun, but be a little careful too!
I am not a fisherman, and suffice it to say that have never lift a bar to return to the United Kingdom. I traveled with my wife and son and his family. He has done fisheries in the United Kingdom a few years ago but is no longer active.
We arrived in Clearwater in the day to Travel Orlando, one of many during our stay of 4 weeks. Jason, the son of my wife, she gets a little boring while enjoying the sun with respect seemed to do some fishing from the pier. I decided to keep him company and a go myself. We walked along the quay near the halfway mark and there is a turnstile and a booth / tent where you get the rods and bait, etc. I think it cost us about 19 million USD bars and some live bait (shrimp). We went through the turnstiles and took our positions at the end of the pier. There were several other fishermen thought the most local. We understood how to do these shrimp writhing on the hook and soon our line over the edge. It is not actually necessary cast out as far as there are plenty of fish around the pier legs, although some types of fish prefer this place. Other fishermen have threw in a Spanish mackerel spinners. It was not long at all until she felt a tug at the end of the line, as long as the fish response had disappeared, with my hook! It took a while to get the hang of the strike and when it was not long until he be undermined in some fish. Most of them were very small, and Jason got the job of removing the hook. He uses a towel and take the fish with one hand and remove the hook from the other. This worked well until I caught a catfish. For some reason, unbeknownst to the other, took the fish with bare hands. The catfish then hit one of his spines along the length of your ring finger. He had to withdraw, with some difficulty as well. The blood started running from his wound. A couple of neighbors saw what had happened and made some disturbing comments like "the man who is ill, you should consider that" We went to the cabin and the boy was Jason advised to go to hospital for treatment. We left the dock and walked to where the rest of the family and told them what happened. It was decided that his mother and me to accompany him to the hospital.
We arrived to the hospital and I must say they were great. He gave the details of your insurance and had nothing more to pay. We were probably 15 minutes before someone was watching him. We were told that the catfish are not poisonous, but as he pushed the spine in the meat Your finger can be pushed into the dirt and bacteria. The thing was his finger was swollen a little and was in considerable pain. He received a massive dose of antibiotics and gave him a shot for pain. I was in bed at once and within 30 seconds the impression that hit, he nearly fell off the bed! The immediate pain relief only. He also gave a recipe for a little more pain. He said he could not not drive while taking this drug. So I left the hospital and returned to the beach. We finished the day with a meal a local restaurant.
This experience does not put him out again because we were a few times since, catching many varieties of fish. I even saw some small sharks being caught as a small hammer. Jason has obtained a copy, which is a member of the family sharks, which was large enough and try to get a job. But if you're not sure there is always someone to tell you what they were captured.
Have a good time!
