Which is better? Crankbaits or soft plastic?
I have absolutely no crankbaits in my tackle box. They just seem much more expensive than other baits. I prefer the more often and using soft plastics, jigs, spinnerbaits and lures rumors because they are cheap and get a lot of fish. If all the swimmers really worth the cost? Do they really work and take a lot of bass? These bait a must when it comes to bass fishing?
I fish with plastics and buzz baits 90% of the time. But the crank bait is a box on my forehead .. When the bass are schooling in the points, a crank bait to catch faster than anything else. When I see a school of bait work well, for a rod with a crank bait ready for action and crank bait with the same color as the fish that eat the bait. It is not necessary, but two of them, but I would not use if not the best bait for this situation particular. Not that the plastic tends to take the tuition low, I just crank bait to catch them much faster. And sometimes, schools are active only for a short period and then back down and simply disappear. So I will not waste time trying to "finesse" a school of bass.
