What color should be used for fishing lures bass?
What colors should I use the morning? noon? and in the evening? also colored water? Other suggestions for bait?
I agree with Russ, time of day is irrelevant. There are two things to consider when choosing the original color. (1) The clarity of the water if it is clear to slightly stained (brown or green) to remain with natural colors like shad, bass, fish maw, ads, etc. For water dirty or cloudy you need more vivid colors like Chartreuse. fluorescent orange or white. (2) the type of day "You have to think again. If it is sunny, then break the most vivid colors, and if it is cloudy and then stick with colors like blue, gray or dark green and brown. You want to mimic the colors of natural bait. If it is cloudy, most natural baits appears as shadows and do not want to start a bright green and white bait. On a sunny day natural bait will appear brighter because the sun is reflected on the scales of the skin and make it appear brighter, so you do not want to offer something monotonous dark. The other factor is the season and what bait is available. Imitate the color you think you're out, worms, craw fish, frogs, small fish tarpon? When the fry are running shad do not want to take a worm to be run a crankbait or worm. Fish are more intelligent than us I think what we have to think like a fish!
