should i use boilies at this time of year for carp fishing?
going out onto my local pond tomorrow for carp and tench and rudd.i am new to fishing and have only taken it up this year!!at 31 some might say i left it a bit late.i am trying lots of different techniques and was just wondering if it is too early in the year to be using boilies on a bolt rig?for my second rod i was going to use a swimfeeder with a piece of sweetcorn on a hair rig setup?aa always all advice is welcome!!!

Boilies are a great all year round bait, however on smaller waters the fish may not be used to them and you may struggle with out introducing them slowly over an extended period. I would make sure you take a range of baits with you. Definitely sweetcorn, luncheon meat and maggots.
