The Bayliner 197 is a good boat for fishing or boating?
Ok just wanted to get some opinions here is the Bayliner 197 deck boat 2008 with a fishing Pack (electric motor, depthfinder and pond) a good boat / water sports fishing? Be used on Lake Wheeler Rogersville, New York to face Wheeler Creek near the dam. Mainly used for fishing for catfish and bass, probably about 60% fishing/40% tubing and skiing. When we Fishing is especially my father and me When the tube / walk / bike, which is 4 or 5 of us. We currently have an Alumacraft Lunker 165, but is small for when bring the whole family instead of my father and I The boat has an engine of 190 horsepower and Max speed is 45 mph with a draft of 16 inches. Is this a Sound good? The water is usually at least 10 feet deep in the bass fishing catfishing around 40-50 but it is over 100 feet deep in some places catfish, and mid-summer troll
Its intended use for a boat sounds great – I'm glad to hear that you enjoy your current boat with his father – (which is very little what is happening these days.) My only problem is that this is a Bayliner. I'd rather go for something good, healthy, strong, safe and proven … (And maybe even less than for the Bayliner 2008 …) Sorry, but I hate seeing good people lose their hard earned money. I am a long (40 years) living a pension navigators and saw the history of these boats. More recently, a few small slips in the Marina I bought a beautiful 40 'Bayliner "Yacht." (I use this term losely – but this is Bayliner's called) and it was really a beautiful boat. Was only three years old and looks like the old ship in the most derelic Marina … (All the vinyl and plastic just not when it comes to SUV-ray) I'm in Texas – if we have about the same type and amount of sun. So please … I recommend not think so much about how the ship is in now – the greatest sincerity – but nobody cares about you anyway … Think about how it is to get 5 or even 10 years. (Want be proud of it then, too.) Remember, Bayliner is owned by Brunswick … and (New Brunswick) have been in business for over 100 years … But what you really want to buy a boat from someone who speciallize bowling ball? Hint: look around for – Port visit their sites and ossuaries Boat Tour – - area to take a good look at the boats – Notification of age are compared to the age they really are … Bayliners used to look 20 when only 4 or 5 – is because they are immediately the most economical for the dollar, you can buy – and there is good reason – cheap materials and cheap labor. If you keep the boat for some time – You can find a boat much better integrated into the secondary market (and is now a good time to do), but whatever you do – so every time you buy … Sure to obtain certification and the boat AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE YEAR OF HARD WATER TEST before you buy any boat. I know … is difficult to tell someone when you already have your heart set on something. But you should really think about it … buy a boat can be a great investment and wonderful – if you buy smart and buy the right – and then use – a lot – a lot.
