Help with a problem regarding the forces and laws of motion? (# 3)?
A box of books weighing 319 N is shoved to the ground by a force of 485 N exerted downward at an angle of 35 degrees below the horizontal. a. If "United Kingdom" between the roof and the floor is 0.57, how long it takes to move the area of 4.00 m from rest? b. If the United Kingdom between the box and the floor is 0.75, how long it takes to move area of 4.00 m from rest?
Without thrust, the forces acting on the box are gravity and the opposing force of the word. W = 319N downwards, up = 319N exerted by the ground. Add the thrust force of 485N, to 35 degrees, and horizontal components divided into vertical component = 485 * sin (35) = horizontal component of 278N = 485 * cos (35) = 397N With the added thrust on the box, required to: vertical background is 319N + 278N = 597N The kinetic friction force is 597N * 0.57 = 340N. Horizontal force is 397N – 340N = 57n The mass of the body is 319N / 9.81m / S ^ 2 = 32.5 kg = F / m = 57/32.5 = 1754 ms ^ / 2 d = 1 / 2 * a * t ^ 2 t = sqrt (2 * c / d) = sqrt (3508 / 4) = 0.936 seconds. b) = UK 0.75. F = 597 *. 75 = 447.75 This is higher than the horizontal component of force applied, so the box is not move.
